Procurement for Regional Impact

Update

Te Ara Hiranga partnered with WellingtonNZ on Project Ue and Project Uaki to show how procurement drives regional impact.

Unlocking Regional Impact Through Procurement - The Directors of Te Ara Hiranga are proud to have partnered with WellingtonNZ and Erin (Baker) Black to deliver two transformative reports Project Ue and Project Uaki, that explore how procurement can be a powerful lever for regional growth, equity, and inclusion.

These reports lay the foundation for a more connected and inclusive procurement ecosystem, where Māori/Pacific businesses and local suppliers have greater access to opportunities, and where conscious buying drives meaningful impact across the Wellington region.

We’re excited to see how this mahi continues to grow and deliver lasting change. Check out WellingtonNZ's web page to read the reports and learn more. A huge thank you to the businesses and buyers who generously shared their experiences and insights. Your voices are helping shape a more equitable future. This is just the beginning. So many to thank including John Allen, Paul Retimanu, Paul Albert of Mills Albert Limited, Michelle Boynton, Toni Kerr, Stevo O'Rourke, Aaron Tait-Jones, Melanie Ahnau, Pelenato Sakalia, Glen Patrick, Junior Ioane, Jenny Warren, Nathalie Whitaker, Kale Panoho, and Jackson Hapeta.
